While moderately affected districts included killa saifullah, kohlu, Barkhan, loralai, sherani, Harnai, and zhob.in the heavily affected districts, flood caused damages to standing agriculture crops, livestock and habitation. Flood water also destroyed families, food stocks, sources of livelihoods and important community infrastructures such as schools, farm to market and link roads, water supplies and village wells. Food stores in the local market also could not be saved form rushing water. The catastrophe brought by flood was of immense nature and totally overwhelmed the indigenous coping mechanism of local communities. Flood water also washed out the mud built houses leaving no place for the poor families to take refuge. Besides, flood also caused displacement of large number of households from their villages and towns and compelled them taking refuge in tents and other available shelters in other areas of the province. People in these displacement camps were faced with a number of problems including food, and clean drinking water shortage.
